Milky Way Cookie Dough Review

Milky Way Cookie Dough

The call to satisfy a chocolate craving can sometimes be an all-day, all-week, or all-life affair, if you’re me, I want it all the time. Thankfully I’m lightly disciplined enough to only have it every so often, even if my reviews look the opposite. Today I looked up and though I didn’t see stars, Milky Way Cookie Dough did take up some visual space.

After my last review of Milky Way, I felt a second chance might be in order. Milky Way Cookie Dough offers me all of the things that I love: chocolate, cookie dough, and caramel. It is possible that this isn’t what I get, but at least two chocolate bars aren’t a total loss, ON THE SURFACE. Let’s take a look at our calorie facts and then it’s time to take the taste into account.

Nutrition Facts For Milky Way Cookie Dough

I managed to grab the share size to make sure that my first impressions were not incorrect and that means two bars shared with ME. That said, one of these bars is a serving size and nets 210 calories, 8g total fat, 5g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, less than 5mg cholesterol, 65mg sodium, 21g total carb, 28g total sugars, 25g added sugars, 2g protein, 4% daily value (based on a 2,000 calorie/day diet) calcium, 2% daily value iron, and 2% daily value of potassium.

A hypothetical exists in, “Hey if I eat both, I’m only a 1/5 of my daily calorie intake!” Keep that as a hypothetical because two candy bars should offer more than 4g of protein if you’re going that route. However, I can’t stop you and if you love what you get the first time, why wouldn’t you repeat it? True romance, am I right?

With that , we know the facts, let’s see what this celestial named bar offers in the taste department!

Can We Make These Cookies In Space?

The short answer to this question is yes. Honestly, after opening them I didn’t have much faith that there would be a different taste. If you put these beside the Milky Way original you’d likely struggle to tell the difference.

The taste just doesn’t exist, even if you change the nougat out. It’s simply Milky Way dialing it in and going “Well we added something!” Truly a shame when you think that cookie dough should have some taste impact. As I haven’t lost my taste buds from old age or COVID-19, I’m just telling it how it is.

I would rate these a 1/10 because it is still candy but there is no delivery of difference. SPOILER ALERT: Milky Way has now delivered two products that are forgettable and honestly better off not being pushed, especially if they could just improve their original product. I guess it is true that the product is trapped within this galaxy (the Milky Way) but honestly, it is probably for other galaxies’ benefit.

Without an update to the formula in this bar, this isn’t even worth trying. Get a regular Milky Way, be disappointed with that and you won’t have wasted energy thinking there was something new out there.
