Takis Blue Heat Chips Review

We Tried Takis Blue Heat

When it comes to the hotter side of chips, Takis has a well-rounded reputation. Generally having some of the best flavors included with their kick, in my honest opinion. So how does Takis Blue Heat stack up when it comes to the world of spicy chips?

First, let’s cover a few bases:

  1. These chips are rolled tortilla chips, and you’re going to want to eat so many.
  2. These chips are DUSTY. If you do not wash your hands you could very well stain clothing and other items.
  3. They tend to splinter somewhat easily, so make sure you’re careful you’re not crumbing up the domicile while you eat these heaty treaties.

So there might be some thinking to say “These have to be healthier than chips, they’re smaller!” I would argue that rolling a rug just pushes its volume to other places, so don’t trick yourself this way! Here’s what you’re looking at in a serving of Takis Blue Heat, about 12 chips/pieces will give you 150 calories, 8g total fat, 2.5g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 3g polyunsaturated fat, 2.5g monounsaturated fat, 0mg cholesterol, 170mg sodium, 17g total carbohydrates, 1g dietary fiber, 1g total sugars, 0g added sugars, 2g protein, 13mg calcium, and 173mg potassium.

Takis Blue Heat: Is A Blue Flame Hotter?

When it comes to the chips we snack on, I think it is rare that we get one that is blue in color and far rarer that it has the spice we crave. Takis Blue Heat definitely steps up to change this narrative and in many ways makes it happen. These little cannoli-looking chips are every bit as scrappy as a Chihuahua towards a Rottweiler but with much sharper teeth.

Takis Blue Heat delivers us both a good chili pepper flavor but also with enough heat to make us respect it. I will say that much akin to other spicy snack foods (or do I just mean snack foods?) these are not easy to contain to a single serving and since they won’t discipline you, you better discipline yourself. All things considered, Takis Blue Heat takes home a substantial grade of a 9/10 and is definitely on the agenda for getting more.
