Takeya Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker Review

Takeya Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Ever since I learned about cold brew I have basically stopped drinking hot coffee altogether. My wife and I originally had a Keurig machine but found it took too long to make the enormous amounts of coffee we drink. We switched to a regular drip machine but found we were just using it to make large batches of iced coffee.

We decided to try a few cold brew products to see if we liked that better. I have made cold brew in the past using a Tupperware bin and cheesecloth. However, I knew there had to be an easier way. We tried a few methods, like pre-made cold brew packets or drip machines that hold ice. These methods were either too expensive or too time-consuming.

That is when we decided to purchase the Takeya Cold Brew Coffee Maker. We have been happy with this decision ever since, and it is now a daily part of our coffee-making routine.

About The Takeya Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker

The Takeya Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Coffee Maker is a basic product for making cold brew coffee in your own home. The product is a jug, similar to a regular water pitcher. There is a filter core that goes down the middle of the container.

After filling the filter tube with coffee grounds, the container lays flat in the refrigerator for at least two days. This allows for the cold brew process to take place. After the time is up, the cold brew is ready to drink.

This is an incredibly simple way to make cold brew at home without a lot of mess, hassle, or parts to clean. It is literally just a jug with a filter core.

Our Thoughts

My wife and I have been using this product for some time, and we love it. We always have a batch of cold brew going in the fridge. We even bought a second water pitcher to hold the completed cold brew while we make more. Like I said before, we drink a lot of coffee.

I think at this point we are completely off of hot coffee altogether. We don’t own a drip brewer anymore. When we want to make hot coffee we typically use a Moka Pot or a Chemex to make a small batch for ourselves. This typically occurs when we have flavored or expensive coffee we don’t want to run through the cold brew pitcher.

The ease of use and low price point is what make the Takeya Cold Brew Coffee Maker so great. The product doesn’t have a lot of parts, or bells and whistles. It is simple and serves its purpose. This cold brew maker will be a part of my coffee arsenal for the foreseeable future.
