Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Review

Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar

With all the reviews I’ve written about soda and energy drinks, I can imagine you all might get concerned for my skyrocketing sugar level. This is why I do take a path less traveled with zero-sugar options in soda and energy drinks. I might think I’m still 16 but my organs certainly act their age EVERY CHANCE THEY GET.

Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar is my latest find and I have to say its sugar-included variant is a solid favorite of mine. Is it because of the addition of sugar? Highly likely. However, I’m not one to argue a compromise if we can land close enough to the taste. Mainly because I don’t want my blood to become syrup. At least I don’t think I do.

The day demands a war and I’m ready to be a soldier for Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar. We’re in this fight together and we’ve got a lot of ground to cover. Let’s roll out and take it down.

The Major is giving the marching orders and they are lighter today! As we salute the day and drink in our energy, it is good to know we won’t be tasked too harshly with our syrupy soft drink.

However, those are just the solid facts. How does this drink shake out when it comes to taste? Is it going to be worth our time or is it time to just pour these down the drain?

Is This Mountain Dew De-Militarized?

When it comes to Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar an artificial sweetener is used, will there be some variation in taste? Can it be handled with as minimal impact as possible? A few sips in and there is definitely a difference in taste however, it isn’t the worst we’ve had. My experience with zero-sugar drinks is that, if you let them get warm, the taste drops more from their flavoring. The artificial sweetener taste starts to take over. Mash that melon!

With that considered, it is Mountain Dew. It still has a strong flavor of melon and that feeling of “I’M ALL JACKED UP ON MOUNTIAN DEW!”. Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar may have zero sugar, but it has zero tolerance for delivering a bad drink. If you get these, refrigerate them and drink them with some cadence you will have a refreshing taste and a hit of caffeine.

Being a layered boy (think hibernation time for bears), I have to say that if you can go with the sugar version, do that instead. Mountain Dew Major Melon Zero Sugar still delivers and I give it a 7/10. I’m not keen to drink sodas in back-to-back sessions but this would make for a nice break in the water, and coffee days that I tend to do after the energy drink review times.
