Great Value Twist And Shout Review

We Tried Great Value Twist & Shout Cookies

When it comes to an iconic cookie such as the Hydrox, there is one cookie that stands above the rest as unseating the original, Oreo. However, there is a contender in Great Value’s Twist & Shout cookies, that competes for taste and price. These cookies have been a mainstay in American history since 1908 with Hydrox and haven’t changed much in the original formula. That being said, Oreo has allowed for some different formulas to be pushed, but they still have the original in full supply.

So when it comes to this, why would we try Twist & Shout? For my money, I’m not affluent enough to contend with okay’ing $6 for cookies every time my sweet tooth decides to wake up. So for sub $3.00 I can get the same quantity as I would the Oreo brand. Which brings us to the last qualifier, how’s the taste?

So, if it is a cookie it is imperative to understand that you are not going to get life-improving caloric intake. The Cocoa construction of these cookies is tasty and the cream within is a terrific chaser, but these are in no way, shape, nor form going to cause you to become an Adonis. With that in mind, a serving of Twist & Shouts will be 3 cookies for 160 calories, 7g total fat, 2g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 2.5g polyunsaturated fat, 2g monounsaturated fat, 0mg cholesterol, 160mg sodium, 24g total carbohydrates, 1g dietary fiber, 12g sugars, 2g protein, 70mg potassium, and 4.5mg iron.

Twist & Shout: Can They Have You Dancing?

Twist & Shout being available as a Wal-Mart brand makes them heavily available, the price is nice, the only thing we need to know about: How do they taste? There’s no need to go over the top with superlatives on flavor here, what can be said for them is if someone didn’t tell you they gave you a Twist & Shout, or if you don’t have a hypersensitive pallet you’ll be none the wiser.

The cookies are exactly what you would hope for and better because of their pricing. With all of that established, I enjoy the Hydrox/Oreo-style cookies, so this one joins those and will receive an 8/10 for taste and replayability.
