Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade Review

Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade Review

The time has come once again for me to look at getting a few ideas on the books and ensure that my brain doesn’t fall victim to distraction. Although it is cold this season, I’d prefer to have my energy quickly. low-calorie, and with a stand-out taste. Ghost Energy seemingly fits this need, especially as they are ideally available to assist athletes to push their thresholds and not over-caffeinate them into additional health issues.

Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade seems to offer a taste that helps cope with the winter, a nice sharp cherry taste that resides with a lime finish and shouldn’t be too sweet. As someone that still believes humans have animal tendencies, red draws my eye like a bull to its next point of attack. The grocer here has them marked as a 2 for $5 so it isn’t the worst deal, but it is hardly A DEAL.

I understand arguing that it is a formulated beverage with caffeine and other ingredients for the best energy state, so it’s an investment in yourself. Keeping your wallet lean is also an investment in oneself, so do with that what you will. All things considered, I grab this and the tried and true tropical mango and I head on my way.

Does Ghost Energy have the ability to maintain consistency with the introduction of this flavor or is it an attempt to capture more market? Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade, get ready for a real analysis.

What are the items that are in the Ghost Energy blend though (you know, besides caffeine)? L-carnitine l-tartrate is used as it may reduce muscle soreness and aid in muscle recovery, my brain is a sore muscle, right?

Alpha-glyceryl phosphorylcholine, or Alpha-GPC as it is used more commonly, is a chemical that promotes acetylcholine in the brain. This chemical is helpful for memory and learning functions, and we can definitely use that.

The last chemical is a little hard to track, naturally, but what I could find about the panar notoginseng is that it helps with stopping or slowing down bleeding, I’d be happy for Ghost Energy themselves to reach out and explain this one to all of us.

Ghost prides itself on being a low-calorie, high-intensity fuel for the human that is on the go (they even have workout supplements!). They’ve had several candy endorsements to help with their drink flavors, color schemes that are almost flame enough to draw bugs in, and are usually in the category of the “buy 2 or more and get a deal” drinks. It can be tricky however to have a healthy formula and get a robust flavor, how does it pan out for the Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade?

But What Does The Lime Actually Aid?

The aroma from the can opening is mainly lime, there is a hint of another flavor here but it is minimal and not what I recognize as cherry. Ghost Energy cherry limeade light and crisp, with plenty of sweeteners but I’m struggling to find how this is a blend of two flavors and not just the lime having the main stage. As it finishes the sweetener lingers and does drive the cottonmouth feel.

I’ve tasted more cherry in Coca Cola normal formula, spoiler: It has none. This drink is VERY limey and I am assuming the sweetener is supposed to be the “cherry flavoring” but it’s not a sell to me. I’ve said it before, I understand flavoring is difficult with no sugar, but the no sugar cannot BE the flavor. Although this isn’t mirroring of their citrus flavor, it is not what I would recommend to anyone that fancies Cherry Limeade.

So to answer the question I posed in the title of this section, the lime aids disappointment. This attempt to recreate what is a delightful fountain drink at your local cafe is not replicated within this formula. When it is only the lime that has two legs to stand on, you feel a little sad for the cherry that got buried here.

I am giving this a 4/10 because even though it isn’t what it’s advertised to be, it isn’t entirely terrible. Sometimes I enjoy a nice lime soda but would have appreciated the cherry flavor making some sense here. If you need the pick-me-up and have 10 calories to spare, Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade is fine, but if you have time and want to get something that tastes like what it is branded as, take that route instead.
