Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion
We know that when snack time rolls around it’s time to get something that isn’t necessarily calorie conscious but leaves a good taste in our mouths. Today I was able to locate Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion in an 8.5oz bag.
Cheetos Flaming Hot Tangy Chili Fusion is not listed on EITHER the Frito-Lay or the Cheetos-specific websites, but I assure you, THEY ARE REAL. They were priced a bit more reasonable than the “2 for $8” assortment of chips (inflation, greed, whatever you want to call it) and Cheetos Flamin’ Hot is more consistent with giving snacks with a kick.
Given my experience, I’m ready for a little heat, a lot of flavoring dust on my fingers, and some happy taste buds when I’m done trying this out. What I’m not sure of is if the flavor will be tangy because of lime, lemon, vinegar, or other. Hard to assess when the bag itself leaves details out, similar to their websites, what a coincidence.
The bell has rung for lunch and it’s time to see if this can complement a meal or if it’s best to just get this flavor to the landfill.
Nutrition Facts For Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion
With the 8.5 ounce bag Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion gives you 9 servings or 21 pieces per serving. A serving has 150 calories, 10g total fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 0mg cholesterol, 200mg sodium, 15g total carbohydrates, dietary fiber less than 1g, total sugars less than 1g, 1g protein, 10mg calcium, 0.7mg iron, and 40mg potassium.
I do believe that 21 pieces should be a manageable task unless there is a highly addictive substance spread throughout these snacks. Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion surely won’t cause me to eat the whole bag in one sitting. I don’t have time to, realistically. That said it’s Flamin’ Hot and I don’t want to waste time with pleasantries when I can have a really pleasant snack, let’s jump in.
Okay, But Can This Chester Scream?
When opening the bag and giving Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion a smell, you’re only going to get the scent of Flamin’ Hot you’re accustomed to. This bag did take a higher road to the typical “1/3 bag of air to snack” ratio that seems to be dominant within Frito-Lay’s products.
Eating these delivers the flavor first and the heat next. The heat stays around for an agreeable time but it is the flavor that steals the show here. The typical heat formula for Flamin’ Hot is and has been great but when they drop in their “tangy” element here, it enhances and shines. My thought here is that it is a blend of both lemon and lime so Sprite and Starry, eat your heart out.
I would absolutely give this snack bag a heavy 8/10. This is one that got the formula correct giving correct portions of heat to flavor, not afraid to be hot but balanced enough to not only deliver heat. The snacks are just so tangy and tasty that you will be a little disappointed that the bag of Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion runs out eventually.
My biggest complaints about this product are that:
1. There wasn’t a normal or family-size bag (I’m trying not to be greedy, but it is hard not to be with good things).
2. They are proud of their product, in pricing. A snack this size when all things are shaken out should TOP OUT around $2.00. I’m not here to discuss an economy of inflation, supply chain, or unnecessary price hike and spikes, but it can hurt returning to a product.
